Martin Ochs

Board Member

Martin C. Ochs is a Texan with deep roots in the Austin community. Born in Dallas, he relocated to Austin in 1970 to pursue his higher education. At the University of Texas, Martin focused on his academic passions, majoring in Radio-Television-Film (RTF) and Communications.

In 1981, Martin Ochs found another lifelong commitment in the form of marriage. He and Jacqueline Ochs have cherished their partnership for over 42 years, building a loving and supportive family along the way. They are proud parents to their daughter, Jessica Ochs Wheat, who undoubtedly inherited her parents’ strong values and dedication to the community.

Professionally, Martin has been an integral part of the mortgage business in Austin since 1984, bringing his expertise and commitment to helping individuals and families secure their homes.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Martin C. Ochs is known for his unwavering dedication to community service. For an impressive 24 years, he has volunteered with Mobile Loaves and Fishes, a nonprofit organization that provides food and shelter to the homeless population. His commitment to this cause has made a significant impact on the lives of those in need.

In addition to his volunteer work, Martin Ochs serves as the Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council 10836 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church from 2022 to 2024. In this role, he demonstrates strong leadership and a deep commitment to his faith and the principles of the Knights of Columbus.

Furthermore, Martin contributes as a Board Member of the Friends of the Austin State Supported Living Center, where he helps support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, working to improve their quality of life and advocate for their needs.
